Lucknow : Under the esteemed patronage of Hon’ble Mr Justice Surya Kant Judge Supreme Court of India and Patron-in-Chief of the National Legal Services Authority and Hon’ble Mr Justice Vikram Nath Judge Supreme Court Of India and Executive Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority, under the able guidance and leadership of Hon’ble Mr Justice Arun Bhansali, Chief Justice Allahabad High Court & Patron-in-Chief of the National Legal Services Authority and Hon’ble Mr Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi, Senior Judge Allahabad High Court & Executive Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority a Mega Legal and Social awareness Camp was successfully organised across all 74 districts of Uttar Pradesh on 22-02 2026.
In this Mega Camp, all the government departments were brought together under one unified platform to ensure coordinated and comprehensive service delivery to the public. Pre-camp activities were organised in collaboration with various departments, during which extensive awareness programmes were conducted to educate people about different government welfare schemes. During these preparatory camps, eligible beneficiaries were also identified so that they could directly avail the benefits and services during the Mega Legal and Social Aid Camp held across Uttar Pradesh.
This initiative marks a historic milestone, being not only the first of such magnitude to be implemented across all districts of Uttar Pradesh, but also an unprecedented effort across India, undertaken by the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority. With the continued cooperation and active participation of various government departments, the outreach has been truly remarkable, and the number of beneficiaries availing government welfare schemes has reached into the lakhs. The total number of beneficiaries, up to the time of release of this press note, stands at 24,56,857, including those covered during the pre-camps as well as the Mega Camp organised today across the State of Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority Secretary Santosh Kumar II said that Such an initiative reflects a remarkable spirit of coordination, wherein different government departments stepped forward on the initiative of the District Legal Services Authorities under the leadership of the respective District Judges. The Hon’ble Administrative Judges also visited the districts under their administrative control and personally supervised the entire event, ensuring its effective and smooth implementation across Uttar Pradesh.
The Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the State administration and all district administrations for their enthusiasm, commitment, and invaluable
cooperation in the successful organisation of the Mega Camps across the State of Uttar Pradesh.
