Hyderabad: Today 24 sep 2025, a delegation of 6 activists including Congress activist, viz., Adv Syed Taraq Quadri, Prof Anwar Khan, Nayeemullah Shariff, Ahmed Hameeduddin, Adv Qudsia Tabassum and Adv Dr Lubna Sarwath, met Hon’ble Chairperson, Telangana Waqf Board Janab Azmatullah Hussaini, at his office and submitted copy of ’A REPORT ON MISUSE OF OFFICE, FINDINGS, Mismanagement, CRIMINALITY, CORRUPTION & SUGGESTIONS IN TELANGANA STATE WAQF BOARD’ by Engineer Mohammad Hamid, member of the Fact Finding Committee constituted by the Central Waqf Council on the 19th and 20th April 2018 submitted to Hon’ble Chairman & Secretary Central Waqf Council (A statutory & regulating body u/s 96 of clause (2) of Waqf Act.) Government of India, New Delhi – .
Chairman was urged that immediate action be taken as recommended in the CWC Report, by filing FIR and CBI case against ex-CM Mr KCR and Mr Nizamuddin Akbar. The close connivance between KCR-BRSBJP-MIM was clearly evident in the 2018 CWC Fact finding Report.
2). Among other issues that were seriously discussed was Kodangal graveyards issue and data of waqf, immediate appointment of a functional and honest CEO.
3). The municipal authorities of Kodangal bull dozed graveyards without following due procedure and resolution of the Waqf Board. Even the Waqf Board did not follow the due procedure of lodging complaint with police and the District Collector for recovering the waqf graveyards.
4). When Hon’ble High Court is disposing waqf due to technical faults, why appeals are not filed by the Waqf Board?
5). Why reconciliation of waqf and revenue not taken up before the uploading documents into ‘umeed’ portal?
6). Why 6 months time not contested with ministry? especially in light that data not in order in the State.
7). Will Mutawalli Mr Nizamuddin Akbar, Waqf Board Member enter all the 800+ acres of waqf as he was suspended in 2014 for swindling the waqf, and, as the Enquiry Report by Jt Collector RR initiated vide GO in 2017 is still pending against him?
8). Who will do the duties of a functional and responsive CEO as per due procedure when so many complaints are raised on waqf? Even as the Waqf staff are unqualified.
9). Chairman ji gave us quality time and hearing. He assured that he would study the CWC Report for action.He gave explanations on all matters raised by us but they were not at all addressing the critical issues on hand. We are very concerned about the deliberate chaotic and negligence in Waqf that is causing overriding of waqf and its documentation too.
Dr Lubna had submitted memorandum to minority minister in this regard also. She is trying to minimise the corruption and to remove waqf mafia syndicate free from Telengana Waqf Board .
